kale and swiss chard for breakfast

Kyla is discovering new ways to eat all the greens she is receiving (and growing) this summer. There isn’t a recipe to go along with the picture but it inspires nonetheless!

“I’m starting to develop a fondness for it! I was reading about chard last night … interesting that it’s basically a beet. The relationship is much more obvious in French: bette and betterave and even Italian: barbabietola and bietola.

Anyway, this was our breakkie this morning: swiss chard and kale!”
